Dr Nigel Berry


Dr Berry has been in general Practice at this surgery since 1976. His experiences as a Family Practitioner include all areas of family medical care. Dr Berry has a special interest in Aged Care visiting a number of Residential Aged Care Facilities weekly.

Dr Robert Smith

M.B. Ch.B

Dr Smith achieved his medical degree in the UK and has been in General Practice at this surgery since 1988. As a Family Practitioner he sees many aspects of family care including mens and women’s health, mental health and children’s health.

Dr Jacqueline Laing


Dr Laing has been a General Practitioner at this surgery since 1982 and sees all areas of family health including women and children’s health, mental health and aged care. She has a special interest in acupuncture and cosmetic procedures including botox, juverderm and laser procedures for skin conditions.

Dr Andrew Mason

M.B.B.S Dip. Obs RACOG

Dr Mason has been in General Practice at this surgery since 1987. As a Family Practitioner he sees many aspects of family medicine. He does have a special interest in travel medicine and has completed ISTM (International Society of Travel Medicine) Certificate of Travel Health.

Dr Tony White

M.B.,B.S. F.R.A.C.G.P

Dr White graduated from University of Melbourne in 1993 and has been practising as a General Practitioner at this practice since 2007. As well as seeing all areas of family medicine Dr White has a special interest in travel medicine.

Dr Mary Ang


Dr Ang graduated from the University of Melbourne and joined this practice in 2014. She has worked in various hospitals in Melbourne including Box Hill hospital, Dandenong Hospital and Monash Health.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice such as diabetes, asthma and preventative health.

Dr Adam Wade


Dr Wade graduated from UWA Perth in 2001 and has extensive hospital and critical care experience prior to joining the practice in 2014.

He enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in paediatrics, men’s health, chronic disease and anti-wrinkle treatments.

When not at work he occasionally finds time to escape to the hills on a bicycle.

Dr Maheshy Peterson


Dr Maheshy graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and completed further training at Eastern Health before starting in general practice. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine, and has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health, and mental health.

Dr Asha Ford


Dr Asha Ford completed her medical degree at Monash University, having previously graduated from a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biomedical Science) and Honours at RMIT University. Following medical school, Dr Ford worked at Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals gaining experience across various specialties and is now undertaking GP fellowship training with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Kristina Jonaityte


Dr Kristina completed her medical training in Lithuania and her General Practice training in Sweden.

She has been a Fellow of RACGP since 2016 and has also been a Honorary lecturer in the Dept of General Practice at the University of Melbourne since 2016.

Dr Kristina enjoys all aspects of general practice including women’s and men’s health and mental health. She has a particular interest in prevention and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, polycystic ovaries, acne, eczema, weight management and general dermatology.

Dr Madeline McLaren

Dr Madeline McLaren graduated from the Univer sity of Queensland in 2012. After starting her career in Brisbane, she ventured abroad to London where she worked in a busy Emergency Department for 18 months. Following her return to Australia, Madeline worked in a variety of medical specialties at hospitals throughout Melbourne before starting General Practice training in 2018. She recently completed a 6 month Extended Skills placement at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre and is in the process of completing her s100 prescriber training so that she can better care for people living with HIV. Madeline is also interested in skin cancer medicine and minor procedures, and has a passion for community healthcare.

Dr Marita Long

MBBS ( honours), B.Med Sci., FRACGP, DCH , Cert S and RH

Dr Marita Long graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2007 with first-class honours. Prior to this she worked as a registered nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and then went on to work as a Maternal and Child Health nurse in Tasmania. After graduating from Medicine Marita worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital for 3 years with her final year being based in paediatric medicine and surgery before deciding to become a GP.

She became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2013 and has a Diploma of Child Health and a Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Marita has worked in a diverse range of general practice settings in Tasmania including Family Planning Tasmania and Pulse Youth Health Service. She has a strong interest in women’s health and broader sexual and reproductive health matters. She is also qualified to insert Implanons and IUDs.

Marita is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Vulvovaginal Society, the Australian Menopause Society and the Australian Society of Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynaecology which keep her up to date with the current best evidence based approach to Women’s Health.

Marita also enjoys working in the area of children’s health and also a strong commitment to providing a high level of primary health care across all the ages and stages of life.

Marita worked as a medical educator for General Practice Training Tasmania, Eastern Victorian General Practice Training and as a clinical GP educator for Dementia Training Australia

Over the last few years, Marita has been a regular guest on ABC radio Hobart on Monday evenings providing medical information to listeners covering a range of topics primarily associated with women’s health. Here are some links to Marita talking on the radio.

Dr Ashleigh Jenkins


Dr Jenkins graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2013 (MBBS) and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), after having grown up in Mernda.

She completed her medical training in community based practices across Northern Tasmania at the Launceston General Hospital, Longford Medical Practice, Launceston Medical Centre and Family Planning Tasmania.

She currently still works with Family Planning Victoria.

She completed postgraduate studies having obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG), Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health (FPAA).

She has a great depth of experience in helping women and children with their health needs. She enjoys procedural medicine and having worked in a semi-rural setting is confident in a range of procedures, including IUD and contraceptive implants, ingrown toenail removals, immunisations and minor skin procedures.

Dr Jenkins looks forward to being able to assist you and your family with your health needs.

Dr Amanda Tan

Dr Amanda Tan graduated from Monash University (MBBS) in 2014 and completed her first years as an intern and resident at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. During this time she had exposure to a wide range of specialities through her rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Geriatric Medicine.
Keen to develop her passion for Women’s Health, Amanda worked for a year at The Royal Women’s Hospital, looking after women throughout their early pregnancy, antenatal obstetric appointments, labour, post-natal checks, gynaecology appointments and family planning.

She is excited to bring her experience and knowledge to the General Practice setting whilst continuing to learn and grow as a doctor at Nillumbik Medical Centre.

In her free time, Amanda likes eating, attempting to cook, and exploring Melbourne and its surrounds with friends and family.

Dr Timothy French

Dr French has been practicing medicine for 8 years.

He completed medical school in 2012, and then spent several years at the Royal Melbourne Hospital furthering his training in Surgical, Medical and emergency medicine. He has 3 further years of general practice experience.

He has an interest in all aspects of paediatric and adult medicine. He has a special interest in aged care, skin lesions and skin checks, varicose and spider vein treatments, and simple surgical procedures. He has completed further training with a diploma of surgical anatomy and a certificate of phlebology.

In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit, tennis, rock-climbing, and movies.

Dr Michelle Hooi


Dr Michelle Hooi graduated from The University of Tasmania and has worked in multiple major metropolitan hospitals including Austin Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital and Royal Hobart Hospital.

She has recently completed the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Diploma and the Diploma in Child Health with the University of Sydney.

Dr Michelle Hooi has a special interest in paediatrics, Women’s health and family planning including Implanon insertions and removals.
