Dr Robert Smith

M.B. Ch.B

Dr Smith achieved his medical degree in the UK and has been in General Practice at this surgery since 1988. As a Family Practitioner he sees many aspects of family care including mens and women’s health, mental health and children’s health.

Dr Jacqueline Laing


Dr Laing has been a General Practitioner at this surgery since 1982 and sees all areas of family health including women and children’s health, mental health and aged care. She has a special interest in acupuncture and cosmetic procedures including botox, juverderm and laser procedures for skin conditions.

Dr Andrew Mason

M.B.B.S Dip. Obs RACOG

Dr Mason has been in General Practice at this surgery since 1987. As a Family Practitioner he sees many aspects of family medicine. He does have a special interest in travel medicine and has completed ISTM (International Society of Travel Medicine) Certificate of Travel Health.

Dr Tony White

M.B.,B.S. F.R.A.C.G.P

Dr White graduated from University of Melbourne in 1993 and has been practising as a General Practitioner at this practice since 2007. As well as seeing all areas of family medicine Dr White has a special interest in travel medicine.

Dr Adam Wade


Dr Wade graduated from UWA Perth in 2001 and has extensive hospital and critical care experience prior to joining the practice in 2014.

He enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in paediatrics, men’s health, chronic disease and anti-wrinkle treatments.

When not at work he occasionally finds time to escape to the hills on a bicycle.

Dr Maheshy Peterson


Dr Maheshy graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and completed further training at Eastern Health before starting in general practice. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine, and has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health, and mental health.

Dr Asha Ford


Dr Asha Ford completed her medical degree at Monash University, having previously graduated from a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biomedical Science) and Honours at RMIT University. Following medical school, Dr Ford worked at Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals gaining experience across various specialties and is now undertaking GP fellowship training with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Matthew Li


Dr Matthew Li graduated from The University of Melbourne and did his hospital training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. He started as a GP registrar at our clinic in 2017 and has continued on as a Fellow of the RACGP since 2018. Dr Li has several special interests, including GP registrar education, minor surgical procedures and aged care. Dr Li introduced iron infusions to Nillumbik Medical in 2017 and continues to perform them at the clinic.

Prior to being a doctor, Dr Li was previously an electronic engineer. He continues to enjoy electronics and computers as a hobby.

Dr Kristina Jonaityte


Dr Kristina completed her medical training in Lithuania and her General Practice training in Sweden.

She has been a Fellow of RACGP since 2016 and has also been a Honorary lecturer in the Dept of General Practice at the University of Melbourne since 2016.

Dr Kristina enjoys all aspects of general practice including women’s and men’s health and mental health. She has a particular interest in prevention and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, polycystic ovaries, acne, eczema, weight management and general dermatology.

Dr Madeline McLaren


Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2012, Dr Madeline McLaren worked across a wide range of disciplines in both hospital and community medicine before specialising in General Practice. After starting her career in Brisbane, she ventured abroad to London where she worked in a busy Emergency Department for 18 months and, more recently, she completed a 6 month training post at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. She now has s100 prescriber accreditation, allowing her to better care for patients living with HIV in the General Practice setting.

Whilst Madeline enjoys all areas of community medicine, she is currently pursuing her passion for skin cancer medicine and procedures by completing formal training with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. She performs thorough skin checks and can arrange the appropriate management of skin lesions, either with herself or through referral where necessary.

Dr Amanda Tan

Dr Amanda Tan graduated from Monash University (MBBS) in 2014 and completed her first years as an intern and resident at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. During this time she had exposure to a wide range of specialities through her rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Geriatric Medicine.
Keen to develop her passion for Women’s Health, Amanda worked for a year at The Royal Women’s Hospital, looking after women throughout their early pregnancy, antenatal obstetric appointments, labour, post-natal checks, gynaecology appointments and family planning.

She is excited to bring her experience and knowledge to the General Practice setting whilst continuing to learn and grow as a doctor at Nillumbik Medical Centre.

In her free time, Amanda likes eating, attempting to cook, and exploring Melbourne and its surrounds with friends and family.

Dr Emily Lai


Emily graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2018. She has worked at Eastern Health in a range of specialties including Emergency and Women’s health.

What Emily loves most about being a GP is that she can be part of a patient’s health journey and deliver holistic and practical patient care. Emily enjoys many aspects of G eneral Practice, in particular chronic disease management, children’s health and women’s health.

During her spare time, she enjoys hiking, exploring n ew places and travelling.

Emily speaks English and Mandarin.
